Winfred Otto Cook, has operated his Fillmore hair salon since 1974.
He was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and has worked as a hairdresser for most of his life. He has lived in St. Louis, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco. He currently lives in Oakland, California.
He has written a number of short stories, and three novels. His first novel Uncle Otto has received rave reviews on Amazon, and was a finalist in the Indie Excellence Book Awards. Wayfarer is his second novel, and he is currently finishing his third, tentatively titled RUBY.
