post.script. is a bright, colorful gift shop at 2413 California St at Fillmore, built around clean, modern design and the idea that a gift should feel thoughtful. It opened in 2019 and is woman-owned, founded by Chandler Tang.
Tang grew up in San Francisco in a family with a long history of running local businesses. The idea for the shop came from riding the 22 bus along Fillmore Street as a kid, so having the store on this stretch of Fillmore is a homecoming of sorts.
The shop curates more than 100 brands. You'll find stationery, including notebooks, cards and pens, and home goods such as candles, kitchen items and vases. There are accessories like socks, bags and hats, and a wide choice of gifts. Cards are a specialty, with a big selection for birthdays, holidays, weddings and sympathy.
The store is open from 11am to 6pm every day except Tuesday. You can also order online and buy e-gift cards at postscriptshop.com.
